If you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you I’m a warrior. I never give up, I’m always ready for the next challenge, I’m always pushing myself to the extreme. I’m extremely active and mother of two boys with lots energy!

My days are long and busy, they start at 5am sometimes 4am, I workout for 45 minutes, take the kids to school, go for a 4 or 5 mile run on the beach depending on my day, run errands, work, pick up the boys from school and take them to after school activities.

But since it’s spring, the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer, so  I’m outside even more with my kids either at the park or swimming and I’m training for a marathon in the summer so some days I run twice a day, sometimes is only 5pm and can’t function because I’m so tired and in pain from all the outside activity.

Water is Energy. Try to drink at least half of your body weight, for example is you weigh 120lbs, drink 60oz of water per day. I always carry a pair of tennis shoes in my bag and instead of waiting in the car while my kids are practicing a sport I put on my running shoes and go for a run or walk, plus the sun It’s a natural energy, so get out, get some sun on your skin and move!

Don’t Run Out of Fuel. Do not starve yourself. Eat every two to three hours to prevent your body and mind as well from crashing. If you don’t eat regularly, your blood sugar and energy levels will swing around like crazy. But choose food that will benefit your body by providing energy. I always carry raw almonds, dry fruit or an energy bar with me, if I know I’ll be out for more than 5 hours I prepare my self a to-go lunch such as; tuna sandwich, salad with some kind of protein or tabouli.

Motivate Your Mind. Motivation equals energy, so motivate yourself every day! I always carry a good book with me and whenever I have some downtime I read it and get inspired to continue with my day. Music also feeds me energy, so when feeling down I turn on my favorite tunes and it not only puts me in a much better mood, it gives me the energy I need to keep going with my day.
