A Delicious Week To Remember. San Diego Restaurant Week

    Forget about Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year is San
    Diego Restaurant week!

    This year I was lucky to be invited by The Shores Restaurant at La jolla Shores Hotel to try their San Diego Restaurant Week Menu. It was our first time here I was struck by the gorgeous view!

    Perfect to enjoy a glass of wine, while taking a look at their menu, it was so good I couldn’t make a decision on what to order. I was impressed with the different choices. You get to choose and appetizer, entree and dessert all for $30! You can check out their San Diego Restaurant week menu here.

    For appetizers we chose the Ahi Tuna Wontons. The Ahi Tuna is fresh and very tasty, topped with avocado, seaweed, red pepper aioli, furikaki and wasabi cream, it was delicious!

    And the Baby Iceberg Wedge with cherry tomatoes, shallots, bacon and blue cheese dressing, besides the tasteful flavor what really impressed me as the size of the appetizers, they’re huge! So you better be hungry and we were.

    As the main course, you can choose from Salmon, shrimp, short ribs, chicken, even New York steak, but I had my eye on this Almond Butterfish with fingerlings, asparagus, sunburst squash, and lobster cream. The fish was tender, it melts in your mouth, just like butter and the lobster cream, omg! I couldn’t get enough it was a party to my palate.

    And the Seafood Cioppino, just take a look at how much seafood it has and the lemongrass broth was extremely tasteful!

    Did I mention my handsome date? My gorgeous boys who also enjoyed dinner very much. La Jolla Shores restaurant is perfect for date night, with this view how couldn’t be!

    But is also very family friendly.

    The Shores Restaurant has a great Kids menu, from pasta, hamburgers, chicken even salmon and for $12 they get an entree, side and milk. You can check the full Kids Menu here

    Thank god my kids were with me because I needed someone to help me eat the delicious dessert, such as this Signature Banana Split Mud Pie, it’s chocolate, strawberry and banana ice cream with fudge swirl, marshmallow~almond crunch, yummi!

    But this Callebaut Chocolate Volcano was to die for! Perfect to end the night.

    The Shores Restaurant is located inside the La Jolla Shores Hotel at 8110 Camino Del Oro in La Jolla, right on the beach, perfect view and amazing we’re defeintely coming back and San Diego Restaurant week is the perfect time to try it! I mean $30 for all that delicious food! San Diego Restaurant Week runs from January 20th thru 27th.
