Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill A Favorite in Coronado & Giveaway!

I was a guest of Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill.

I’ve lived on Coronado Island in San Diego, California for almost 9 years and even though I pass by Bluewater Boathouse Seafood  almost everyday I’ve never been to the restaurant and now I’m like, why I? After our amazing dinner I understand why Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill is A Favorite in Coronado!

The location is perfect, Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill is located over the water in the historic former Hotel Del Coronado Boathouse that was built in 1887 as a chart house, just look ate the gorgeous view! Perfect for a date..

Or ladies night out, what I had with my good friend Christine ad we had an exquisite seafood fest, every bite we took was event better than the last one. At  Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill they have a special tasting menu every month, I had the opportunity to try their March tasting and I’m hooked.

We started with with, Maryland-Style Crabcakes with Remoulade sauce, chive oil and micro greens, I gotta say, I’m not a big fan of crab cakes, but these one are delicious, they do taste like crab and not breadcrumbs, they’re the perfect amount of crunchy and tender. To celebrate National Crab Day on Friday March 9th Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill will be serving the Maryland-Style Crabcakes for  $8.95 (savings of $5.05) on March 9 only.

These were one of my absolute favorites, the Oysters, specially the Rockefeller Oysters, they are freshest of the freshest, baked with creamed spinach topped with melted romano. They oysters melt in your mouth, they’re a true joy to your palate.

To Celebrate National Oysters of the Half Shell Day  on March 31 only, Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill will be serving them for $9.95 ($5.55 savings) great deal!

There’s nothing like celebrating St.Patrick’s Day eating a delicious Irish inspired meal and drinking beer. Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill is celebrating big on Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th, they’re  serving, high Spot IPA Beer Battered Fish & Chips and a pint of IPA for $17.95 for lunch and $20.95 (savings of $6.30 and $7.30).  Pints of Guinness are $5, Irish Coffees are $3 and Corned Beef and Cabbage with Boiled Potatoes is $16.95.

The Beer Battered Fish & Chips are extremely good, the fish is tender and with lots of flavor, they’re not greasy at all. You can really taste the fish and the chips are freshly baked so they compliment the dish perfectly.

During the month of March Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill is also having a “Taste of Louisiana” Bluewater combines California-inspired versions of Gumbo and Crabcakes with specialized drinks designed to bring out the flavor and turn up the heat. Also featured are Bluewater Grill Oysters Rockefeller, we tried the Redfish and it’s definitely one of my favorites.

The combination of flavors of The Chipotle Blackened Swordfish will melt in your mouth. The fish is tender and it has lots of flavor, the savory dirty rice, sweet corn and avocado relish are the perfect combination. You must try “Taste of Louisiana” Tasting on March 13th ($34.95) As part of the festivities at each restaurant, Bluewater bartenders will pour the New Orleans Fizz and other Big Easy cocktails.

I gotta say, Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill in Coronado Island really impressed me, I knew it was a gorgeous location, but I never imagined their food would be so good, exquisite I should say!

  1. I would try the crab cakes because they look delicious! I don’t always order crab cakes, I save them for special occasions and this would be a special one! Thanks for this opportunity Tania! Glad you are back in SD!

  2. I’d love to try their crab cakes! My uncle makes the best crab cakes I’ve ever had and I am constantly looking for a restaurant to out-do him! So far I haven’t had any luck but I’d love to out Bluewater Boathouse to the test!
