Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood hosted our dinner for the purpose of the review.
I love to go out and eat, try new food, new restaurants, if you’re like me, you might have a list of restaurants you keep meaning to try, but haven’t been able to do so. Well, now is the perfect time, San Diego Restaurant Week gives you the perfect excuse and you take advantage of great deals on prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner.
For one week only, over 180 participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe dinner menus for $20, $30, $40 or $50 per person and/or two-course prix-fixe lunch menus for $10, $15 or $20 per person.
We had the opportunity to try one of their best restaurants Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood and it was delicious!
Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood is a landmark in the historic Gaslamp Quarter in Downtown San Diego for nearly 20 years and is one of the top 10 Steakhouses in California.
There are no words to describe how good every bite we took was better than the last one, that’s why here are my pictures, be aware, your taste buds will start craving.
Just by reading the Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood San Diego Restaurant Week menu you know your palate is in for a delicious experience! We chose the $60 per person prix-fixe dinner.
For our first course we chose the Big Eye Tuna which it was deliciously-fresh. It had Avocado, topped with endive, shallot aioli, yuzu and pickled serrano peppers so if you don’t like any spice this is not for you, but my kids loved it!
We also tried the Shrimp Cocktail, just look at the size of the shrimp! They were tender and fresh, just perfect!
It was extremely hard to select our second course, from Bone-In Rib Eye, Chilean Sea Bass, Lobster Spaghetti.
But we had to go with a steak since Greystone features an international selection of hand-cut Wagyu beef and it’s part of their San Diego Restaurant Week menu! It’s a 4oz Australian Wagyu and it was perfection. You can choose how you wanted cook, I I like my steaks with a pink center, perfect for a wagyu.
We also ordered the Elk Chop which I’ve never tasted and it’s magical for your tasted buds. It was tender and slightly sweet, they serve it with Pancetta Fingerling potatoes and seared artichoke.
My boys and I were having the best time at Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood, even tough it was a busy Saturday night the service was perfect and the waiters made sure we had everything we needed it on time and the best was yet to come..
Of course I wanted chocolate and I couldn’t let pass the opportunity to try their famous Chocolate Molten Lava Cake which I confess, I ate it all! It was delicious.
Someone else who wasn’t happy to share was my youngest, just look at his expression when his brother asked him to try the N.Y Cheesecake.
I was very impressed with Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood, not only the food is perfection, the ambience is elegant in a cozy way, very inviting to for lunch, dinner with friends and family.
I also loved the bar at Greystone Prime Steakhouse which is well known as one of the most elegant happy hours which day have every day of the week! And is famous for being the meeting spot in downtown San Diego within the social scene.
