The Lion Guard Rise of Scar DVD Giveaway and Drum DIY

I received a copy of The Lion Guard Rise of Scar DVD and the materials for the craft.
Anytime there’s a new Disney DVD release there’s a party at my house, my boys love anything Disney so they were very excited when I told them we were getting The Lion Guard Rise of Scar DVD.

Already on Disney DVD January 9th THE LION GUARD: THE RISE OF SCAR Kion Unwittingly Summons the Pride Lands’ Greatest Villain and Threatens the Circle of Life. Includes Five Episodes of Disney’s “The Lion Guard”  Featuring the Voice of David Oyelowo (‘Queen of Katwe”) as Scar

Synopsis

Be prepared for the Rise of Scar! With the arrival of the Dry Season, tensions run high, patience wears thin and thirsty tempers flare. To make matters worse, Janja’s hyenas, aided by Ushari the snake, discover a secret that could bring back the vengeful spirit of the legendary villain, Scar!

To celebrate the release of THE LION GUARD: THE RISE OF SCAR we made a Circle of Life Drum, it was so easy and fun!

This is what you need, our Circle of Life Drum pack came from Seedling.com which comes wit instructions as well.

The kids can paint the drum any way they like, my son loved the Lion King paws!

Once they’re done painting the drum, let it dry. Once completely dry, take the black leather cord and knot one end of the cord to a  hole in the top faux suede leather. Thread the un-knotted end of the cord down through a hole in the bottom piece of suede. Pull the cord through the hole until the knot is securely behind the hole. Pull the cord upwards and thread through a hole in the top piece of suede.Continue to alternate threading the cord through the suede from bottom to top until you’ve laced the cord all the way around the drum. Make sure the suede circles are centered, pull the cord taut and tie a knot to secure into place.

How fun would it be to make this Circle of Life Drum with your kids while watching The Lion Guard Rise of Scar DVD! I’m giving away (1) copy so enter the Giveaway below!

  1. I teach my kids to be brace by helping and leading them to try new things. They realize it’s sometimes scary to try new things but we’re brave and try them. Sometimes we like them and sometime we don’t. But if we are not brave we will never know.

  2. I try to instill confidence which I hope in turn helps my kids be brave. They have to be brave in many situations…in school and trying out new things. I tell them the might fail and it might be scary but trying only makes you brave.
